Trauma and Beyond Psychological Center ® has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment programs (PHP) by demonstrating consistent compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a quality symbol that reflects a health care organization’s dedication to providing safe and high-quality patient care.
On December 21-22, 2020, Trauma and Beyond Psychological Center ® underwent a thorough review. A Joint Commission review team assessed compliance with our PHP and IOP standards in areas such as emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, leadership, employee continuing education, and individual rights and responsibilities.
The Joint Commission develops its standards in collaboration with health care experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. They are based on scientific literature and expert consensus in order to assist health care organizations in measuring, assessing, and improving performance.
“As a private accreditor, The Joint Commission surveys health care organizations to protect the public,” explains Mark Pelletier, RN, MS, The Joint Commission’s chief operating officer, Accreditation and Certification Operations, and chief nursing executive. “We applaud Trauma and Beyond Psychological Center ® for its ongoing efforts to improve patient safety and quality of care.”
